I’ve often found that people get confused with the term upholstery stapler gun and how that differs from an upholstery stapler and to be honest with you they both just mean the same thing.  I have been using a upholstery stapler gun in my own work for years now and it has provided many benefits and uses beyond the normal suggested uses for an upholstery stapler.  I have used my upholstery staple gun to fix many things I thought were beyond repair and much to my wife’s amazement it has actually helped me earn my man card back!

 


Most recently I was helping my brother who had moved into a new home.  Well the home was not new per se but actually more  of a renovation more than anything.  He had to replace the carpet and felt like he could do it himself.  He did of course ask for my help and I obliged bringing with me my trusty upholstery staple gun.  The porter upholstery stapler that I use I’ve written about before here on upholstery-stapler.com so it should come as no shock to you that it is the one I brought with me.

 

We gradually laid out the carpet and just as my brother was about to bring out his hammer I whipped out my upholstery staple gun.  Luckily my brother had his compressor on and with him so I was able to hook it up immediately and go to work stapling down the edges of the carpet.  The beauty of using a upholstery stapler to complete a carpeting project is that it is so much faster than a plain old hammer and the results are quite nice.  Remember that you must use the normal wooden tack strips to nail into as your upholstery staple gun will not staple into concrete – please do not try!
